Time management problems....

I have been having so much fun connecting with folks and finding amazing artists from my Flying Lessons class from Kelly Rae Roberts.  It has taken up a lot of my time lately all this blog hopping, Facebooking, Twittering oh my!  I am still seriously behind in my class, which I'm trying somewhat unsuccessfully to catch up on today, If only I could stay off my Tweetdeck!

Also I've spent entirely too much time, fiddling with my blog appearance.  I have changed to the lighter background, which I think is easier to read, but not the best for my photos.  Hmmm....  Still deciding on that one, and things may change again, not sure yet.

Also I still have the 3 columns as you can see, but now I notice that when I post my blog link anywhere like Facebook, it brings up the stuff in my left sidebar, instead of the blog post and picture.  Argh!  Not sure how to fix that one, I may go back to two column because of that.  If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.  :)

Anyway, despite all that business, I do have a few things in the works artistically that I've been fooling around with this week.  So I thought I'd give you a peek into what's been going on...

The first pic you see above is one I just started the other day.  This is the start of the background for a Mad Hatter piece I want to do.  I sure hope it turns out!!

And this is another work in progress, that is actually almost done now. I was inspired by the characters in "It's a Small World" for this piece. I think I'm also going to do one of the Small World Castle.  Hopefully.  :)

And finally, my studio apprentice hard at work!!

That's all for now!  I'm off to school now, hopefully I can better manage my time next week.  Have a great weekend!

  1. Does your apprentice give back rubs/kneads while working? That would really be a great help. Seems to me to be a great asset to your studio!

  2. It's a Small World (and everything Disney) has been a source of inspiration for me since I was very little. Love it! Your site looks great. It's good to know I am not the only one struggling with all this new stuff and still trying to get the regular day-to-day stuff out too! Not quite sure how to manage just yet...

  6. You did a great job Michelle! I love how creative you are with color...I'm a little afraid of color and wish that I had that creative side in me...I think because when I was young, I had turned my hair green...that did it for me! Love your cat!

  11. MICHELE, love, love, love your photo of your apprentice! That's so cuddly and precious looking. I wonder if I could get my beagle to do that??? We have shop cats who do NOT like it in the house at all so I'll just have to get by with the dog.
I'm right there with you on the time mgmt problem, it is hard to keep up with all of it but we are certainly getting more than we paid for!

    Sending you a smile, Chris

  15. Haha! That's my problem too - bloghopping to connect with all the wonderful classmates has taken up a lot of time that now, I'm way behind on our lessons. But I'm having a fantastic time getting to know a lot of people in the process.

  16. Hi Michele, I totally understand blog hopping and facebook. I get lost doing both. Then the next thing I know 3 hours have gone by... yikes!
Your apprentice is adorable. He seems to know you need some watching over your shoulder. Cats are like that ya know? Thanks for visiting my "place". Email me sometime if you want to share more. Hugzzz new friend, Lille
